Walk-in Clinic Services

The walk-in clinic provides service for students experiencing medical conditions and issues listed to the right. Appointments can also be scheduled for these and other non-urgent healthcare needs. We provide evaluation and treatment by a nurse practitioner or a physician.

Walk-in Appointments

Walk-in appointments are often available, but not guaranteed—Check-in at the registration desk in the main lobby. The first available provider will see you as soon as possible. Wait time can vary.

Patients with scheduled appointments may be seen before you, even if you have been waiting longer. When you make an appointment in advance, your wait time at WHS will be reduced.

For an appointment, please call our appointment line at 785-864-9507.

For nurse triage instructions over the phone, please call our Nurse Helpline at 785-864-9583.

When Watkins Health Services is closed and you are in need of urgent care, go to LMH Health located at 325 Maine Street or call LMH Health at 785-505-5000.

What to Bring With You

When checking in, you will be asked for your KU Identification Card (or other government-issued photo ID) and current insurance card to have WHS bill your health insurance. Health insurance is not required, but a photo ID is.
