Accreditation
Watkins Health Services is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) and has been since 1988. Accreditation is a voluntary process through which an organization is able to demonstrate the quality of its services and performance against nationally recognized standards. The accreditation process happens every three years and involves self-assessment by the organization, as well as a thorough onsite review by the AAAHC's expert surveyors. The accreditation certificate is a symbol that WHS is committed to providing high-quality care and has demonstrated its commitment to AAAHC's high standards.
There are approximately 4,500 higher education institutions in the U.S. Roughly 2,700 have a student wellness center, some of which are nurse-led. About 275 seek accreditation status putting Watkins Health Services in the elite 11% who strive to provide the highest level of care.
