For non-emergency advice, KU students always have access to our Nurse Helpline at 785-864-9583.

Questions about health can come up at any time. That is why our Nurse Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at no charge.

During our normal business hours, Watkins nurses answer the Helpline. The phone nurse has the ability to:

  • Access your health records.
  • Assess and provide treatment options for common illnesses.
  • Help you decide what level of care to seek.

When Watkins is closed, our after-hours on-call service will:

  • Assess and provide treatment options for common illnesses.
