2017 Student Health Insurance Plan

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

The Kansas Board of Regents sponsors a student health insurance plan to help protect students from unexpected medical costs.  The open enrollment period runs through January 31, 2017, for coverage during the spring or spring/summer semesters.

This specially designed student health insurance plan is fully compliant with the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and is underwritten by United Healthcare Student Resources.  Because of its design, it may cost students or parents less than staying on a parent’s plan.

It offers unlimited lifetime benefits, coverage for pre-existing conditions, and preventive care.  Most services provided by Watkins Health Services are covered at 100% and there is a national network of healthcare providers and pharmacies.
