Faculty/Staff Clinic Now Open

Monday, November 30, 2015

Watkins Health Services (WHS) is excited to provide more services to our campus community with the opening of an Immediate Care Clinic (ICC) on Monday, November 30, 2015.  This clinic serves currently employed faculty and staff and KU Affiliated Corporations, i.e. KU Athletics, KU Memorial Unions, Alumni Association, Endowment Association, Hilltop Child Development Center and the ROTC program. Family members, former faculty and staff and retirees are not eligible for this service.

The clinic treats acute onset problems such as bone and joint, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, skin issues, etc.  Chronic conditions are best managed by your Primary Care Physician.  Work related injuries should be referred to Lawrence Memorial Hospital as the University’s approved provider.

Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays. To schedule an appointment, call the ICC at 785-864-9565. Walk-ins are accepted from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm when classes are in session or 8:00 am to 3:30 pm when classes are not in session.

The ICC is housed on the second floor of Watkins Memorial Health Center separate from the student clinic. The most convenient way to access the ICC is by entering the building on the east side and taking the stairs or elevator to the second floor.

Co-pays will be collected at time of service.  Check, credit card and debit card payments are accepted.  WHS submits claims to most insurance companies and will bill patient balances on a monthly basis.

For more information, visit the Immediate Care Clinic page.  If you have questions about this new service, you can reach the ICC at 785-864-9565
