Background:
Maureen grew up in an active family outside of Chicago and came to KU to pursue a degree in psychology. She worked in human services and veteran’s advocacy before starting in the KU College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Deans Office in 2010. While working in the College Office, Maureen earned a Masters in Health Education & Psychology of Physical Activity, stress management and positive psychology were areas of focus. In 2017, Maureen was thrilled to start working as a Health Educator at Watkins, and assist students in developing healthy coping skills.

Maureen’s most favorite self-care strategies include: getting outside with her family, impromptu dance parties with her kids, doing yoga, watching movies, grabbing a bite with friends and appreciating the local arts scene.
